About Me

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits
and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts."
-William Shakespeare

I consider myself to fill many roles: writer, traveler, friend, aunt, sister, art history nerd, life long learner, and, one of the most important to me, photographer.

Photography has become a way for me to explore the world and the details around me in a way nothing else has. It is a way to share my adventures and, more importantly, synthesize my experiences to understand them better.

I love shooting film, but work with whatever camera is closest, including my iPhone when necessary. I don't like the idea of nailing myself down to one genre or work, though I lean towards working on conceptual projects in fine art.  Additionally, I am a huge fan of getting my hands dirty (with silver stains) and working with historic processes such as albumen, cyanotype, salt printing, and tin type work (when I have the means). Fall of 2014 I started a graduate program to continue my education in Art History will help me further understand these processes in context to the rich history of art and photography at University of Arizona.
